Transportation, Communication, and Beyond
The 1900’s ushered in a time of unprecedented technological advances in all areas of human existence. Modern manufacturing methods were established, the car was fast replacing the horse, and mass communication was finally advanced beyond the printing press. One of the most basic felt needs of the human race, once food and shelter are established, is the desire to engage in recreation. Lake Wawasee and Syracuse Lake became an even bigger draw than in years past as people from greater distances could more easily and quickly travel here for holidays and vacations.
